Joy deBoer currently serves as an Assessment Manager at Lifelong Learning Administration Corporation (LLAC). LLAC is an education management organization that serves a national network of charter schools.  In this ongoing role, she has been responsible for developing and implementing centralized assessment programs, streamlining data and testing management. This demonstrates her direct and current experience in the field of educational assessment and data management. Each Fall, her team plans and coordinates with IT, Special Education, Compliance, Multilingual support, Counseling, and the schools to achieve a successful Spring testing season. Prior to this, Joy served as an Assessment Supervisor at Opportunities for Learning & Options for Youth Charter Schools, where she managed state-mandated and diagnostic assessments and focused on ensuring compliance and validity. This previous experience provided her with a strong foundation in overseeing testing operations. 

Complementing her professional experience, Joy possesses a diverse educational background. She is currently clearing a CTE credential in Fashion & Interior Design with the University of San Diego. Furthermore, she completed a Data Science Bootcamp at CalTech / Center for Technology & Management Education recently. Her academic qualifications also include a Professional Designation Associate of Arts in Visual Communications from FIDM / Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from California State University, Fullerton. This combination of ongoing professional work and diverse academic pursuits, ranging from education and technology to the arts and humanities, provides her with a broad perspective and a range of valuable skills that will contribute to her work with the IVA Board.
